Shaken Not Stirred!
The limes I bought to make some now-forgotten recipe have seen better days, yellowed and rock-like. I do have navel oranges, not as good as the blood orange variety, but way better than any store bought mixer. Really.

The Table
We got a good deal for our table
and it was even delivered to us
It’s solid and if you bang your knee against
the inside frame just under the table top
you’ll swear you hate the thing.
The top needs refinishing, but
we leave it.

A long, long time ago, I stood by my Grandma as she rolled out dough made of sweet batter.

Even before the turkey was on the table
with all the sides and pumpkin pie
lights began to twinkle on front porches
and in trees and shrubs
Santas, snowmen and reindeer
replaced the pumpkins and ghosts
The Season Appears
Little by little, the season appears
