Will the Cynic?

Or will the Optimist win out?

Perhaps this is a part of my competitive nature

but which side is going to win my complete attention

The cynic side, exhausted with demands for

effort, time and heart.

Endless requests for support for the needy, 

Never enough time to respond.

My heart is full of compassion and grief

And the requests will never end

The optimist. always on the lookout for joyful signs.
