Resolutuons
Well, it's a new year. Each year I spend the last few days of the year reviewing all my actions of the prior 365 days. I develop a list of resolutions. These are intended to make me more thoughtful, healthy, and empathetic. Alas, for over70 years, I have been spectacularly unsuccessful in keeping them. Often, I doubted the necessity of following through on such a restrictive regime. This thought often occurred to me before noon on January 1. Therefore my plan for 2022 is to employ what Freud would call reverse psychology; below is my list of resolutions I am making for the coming year
1) This year, I plan to offer my wife as much advice as I can to help her do things better.
2) I will eat only fatty foods
3) I will drink more coffee.
4) I will stay in touch with friends and family.
5) I will watch as much political news as possible and fret upon the health of our nation.
6) I will not exercise.
7) I will meditate as infrequently as possible.
8) I will check Facebook many times a day.
9) I will binge-watch a TV series at least once a month
10) I will complain hardly about arthritis in my left knee 11) I will play sudoku at least ten times a day
